Who Stopped The Music 1.2.0 puts you in charge of the soundtrack

Keep Minecraft's music choices, build one playlist, or give each biome and situation its own soundtrack. Who Stopped The Music 1.2.0 lets you bring your own songs too.

We like Minecraft's music. We also like being able to choose when it plays, skip a song, or take a favourite somewhere the game wouldn't normally play it. With Who Stopped The Music 1.2.0, you can keep that familiar soundtrack or build something of your own.

Press M to open the editor (you can rebind it in Controls → Who Stopped The Music), or use the cassette in the title or pause menu. How much you change is up to you.

Keep it familiar, or pick the songs

Vanilla leaves Minecraft in charge of choosing music for the places and situations you're in. You get pause, resume and skip controls, plus a choice of how long to wait between songs and whether background music pauses for a nearby jukebox.

Basic gives you one playlist across the title screen and every dimension. Pick from the soundtrack, music discs and your imported songs, then shuffle them or play them in order. If you want Pigstep following you around the Overworld, this is the straightforward option.

Give the world its own soundtrack

Custom lets you choose music for individual biomes and situations. Keep a flower forest peaceful, add a different playlist for underground trips, or give thunderstorms something heavier. You can decide which situation takes priority and whether its music interrupts the current song or waits for it to finish.

Open a scenario, then drag songs into its list. Song weights let you hear favourites more often without cutting everything else.

Bring your own songs

In Basic or Custom, open Add music, drop in MP3 or OGG files, then confirm the copy. Your originals stay where they are; the imported songs join your library, ready for one shared playlist or a particular part of the world. MP3 support is bundled.

Who Stopped The Music 1.2.0 is a client-only Fabric mod for Minecraft 26.3, with Fabric API required. It works in singleplayer and multiplayer, so you can choose your music without asking a server to install anything.
