Q&A

Quick answers for players deciding whether to jump into PyreHaven.

Can I raid, grief, and PvP on PyreHaven?

Yes. PyreHaven is built for chaotic survival. Raiding, griefing, stealing, traps, betrayal, and PvP are part of the game. The line is cheating or toxic behavior. Win with planning, skill, and risk, not hacked clients.

Is PyreHaven safe for younger players if griefing is allowed?

That is the goal. The gameplay can be rough, but chat, names, skins, builds, and links still need to stay safe. We ban slurs, harassment, NSFW content, threats, doxxing, and anything that makes the community unsafe.

Can I join from Java Edition or Bedrock Edition?

Yes. Java Edition players can connect with play.pyrehaven.xyz. Most Bedrock Edition players can join by adding play.pyrehaven.xyz with port 19132. Bedrock players on Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch cannot normally add custom servers through Minecraft's server list because those platforms only show featured servers, so the join guide includes a friends-list workaround for console players.

Do I need to install mods before joining?

No. Client mods are not required. PyreHaven uses server side mods, plus Geyser and ViaVersion, so Java Edition and Bedrock Edition players can join without downloading a modpack. If you want to use mods, performance, shader, and accessibility style mods are usually fine as long as they do not give unfair gameplay information or automation.

What happens when I first join?

When you first join, you will be in the lobby. Before you can send chat messages, join voice, or go to EmberClash, you need to accept the rules. You can view them here or by using /rules in game, then run /rules accept. After that, follow the arrows to the EmberClash portal or use /emberclash. Spawn changes based on what players have built or destroyed. From there, find land, make allies, raid enemies, build something big, or jump into voice chat from the website.

What can I actually do on the SMP?

Almost anything that fits an SMP. You can be a raider, builder, redstoner, trader, explorer, double agent, spawn repair crew, underground club, team leader, or lone wanderer. PyreHaven gives you the world and lets players create the story.

What rules should I remember before I join?

The short version is no hacks or unfair advantages, keep chat and builds safe, and respect staff decisions. TNT duping is allowed, but non TNT dupes, exploit abuse, automation, hacked clients, xray, kill aura, bots, and toxic behavior are not.

How do admins decide what changes to make?

Admins make the final calls, but player feedback matters. If something feels confusing, unbalanced, laggy, or just not fun, we look at how people are using it and adjust the server around that.

How do you deal with hackers and bad actors?

We use server side protections, moderation, and testing to stop obvious cheats and patch exploit paths before they become normal gameplay. Reports and Discord feedback also help staff catch problems that automation misses.

Where should I ask questions or meet other players?

Discord is the best place for updates, questions, appeals, and finding people to play with. In game, you can also use the website voice chat to talk with nearby players without installing voice mods.
